Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- FILLING:
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 cups coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- FROSTING:
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- - juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon melted butter or margarine
How To Make lemon coconut bars

Step 1Mix together dough ingredients for crust. Press with fingers in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 275 degrees.

Step 2Meanwhile, combine filling ingredients; spread on top of baked crust. Increase oven temperature to 350. Now bake 20 minutes.

Step 3While still warm, spread with frosting by combining confectioners sugar, melted butter and lemon juice. Cool to lukewarm. Cut into bars or squares.
