A delicious recipe given to me by my mom. Not sure where it originated, but it's a summertime favorite.

2 1/2 stick
1 c
brown sugar
6-7 Tbsp
instant iced tea (regular or flavored, i like lemon)
egg yolk
2 tsp
vanilla extract
2 1/4 c


1 c
powdered sugar
5 tsp
hot water or milk
1/4 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Iced Tea Cookies


  • 1Preheat oven to 350° F.
  • 2Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in tea, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour. Drop by heaping teaspoon 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • 3Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool & brush with glaze. Cool completely prior to serving.
  • 4To make the glaze, combine all ingredients, and let thicken before brushing over cookies.
