A delicious recipe given to me by my mom. Not sure where it originated, but it's a summertime favorite.

  • 2 1/2 stick
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 6-7 Tbsp
    instant iced tea (regular or flavored, i like lemon)
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 c

  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 5 tsp
    hot water or milk
  • 1/4 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Iced Tea Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Beat butter and sugar in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in tea, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour. Drop by heaping teaspoon 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly golden. Cool & brush with glaze. Cool completely prior to serving.
  4. To make the glaze, combine all ingredients, and let thicken before brushing over cookies.
