This recipe is quick and easy and the variations are boundless. Try different flavors of cake and additions. I have used strawberry cake mix and instead of chocolate chips used fresh strawberries. I have also made the butter pecan cake mix with pecans instead of chocolate chips. Both equally as good.

Ingredients

1 box cake mix any flavor. i used chocolate fudge
8 ounces cream cheese softened
1/4 cup butter softened
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 bag chocolate chips

How To Make easy cake mix bars

Step 1

Preheat oven 375 degrees. Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add egg and mi well. Add vanilla. stir.

Step 2

Beat in the cake mix a little at a time. The mixture will be sticky. Stir in chocolate chips.
Step 3

Press into greased 9 by 13 pan. Bake about 15 to 20 minutes until done.
Step 4

Can also drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and make cookies
