double peanut butter cookies
This was mom's go-to recipe when I was young. We loved peanut butter and couldn't wait for her Double Peanut Butter Cookies to come out of the oven.

Makes 1 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup go bold with butter
- 1/4 cup corn syrup, light
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup peanut butter for filling
How To Make double peanut butter cookies

Step 1In bowl, combine dry ingredients with a whisk.

Step 2Cut in butter and peanut butter with dry ingredients.

Step 3Stir in corn syrup, milk, chopped peanuts.

Step 4Shape dough into a two-inch diameter roll and wrap with plastic wrap. Chill 3 hrs.

Step 5Preheat oven to 350 when ready to bake. Cut dough into 1/4 inch thick slices, cutting 24 slices.

Step 6Place 12 slices on cookie sheet sprayed with Pam. Top each slice with 1/2 t. peanut butter. Cover with second cookie slice, seal edges with a fork.

Step 7Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 min. Cool before eating.
