I got this recipe years ago from my sisters first husband's grandmother. It is a now a tradition at my house to make these every year at Christmas. Just melts in your mouth. So good.

Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups flour
- - sugar
- CREAMY FILLINGS
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make cream wafers

Step 1For the wafers. Mix butter, cream and flour. Chill for 2 hours. Roll out on floured board. Cut into small rounds. Turn each round in sugar until both sides are coated. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool.

Step 2for the filling. Mix together all ingredients and add food coloring if desired.

Step 3Put cookie together with filling.
