Ingredients

1 cup soft butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
3 - eggs
3 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon grd nutmeg
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 cups walnuts or pecans
1 package red candied cherries
1 package green candied cherries
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup light rum
1 cup chopped dates optional

How To Make christmas rocks

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar until light.

Step 2

Beat in eggs
Step 3

Add sifted dry ingredients and milk until well mixed.
Step 4

Pour batter over nuts and fruits and mix thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 20 -25 minutes at 325 degrees.
Step 5

While still warm sprinkle with rum.
