Ingredients
- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon grd nutmeg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 3 cups walnuts or pecans
- 1 package red candied cherries
- 1 package green candied cherries
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup light rum
- 1 cup chopped dates optional
How To Make christmas rocks

Step 1Cream butter and sugar until light.

Step 2Beat in eggs

Step 3Add sifted dry ingredients and milk until well mixed.

Step 4Pour batter over nuts and fruits and mix thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 20 -25 minutes at 325 degrees.

Step 5While still warm sprinkle with rum.
