Ingredients For christmas rocks

  • 1 c
    soft butter
  • 1 1/2 c
    light brown sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3 c
    sifted flour
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    grd nutmeg
  • 1/2 c
    buttermilk
  • 3 c
    walnuts or pecans
  • 1 pkg
    red candied cherries
  • 1 pkg
    green candied cherries
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1/4 c
    light rum
  • 1 c
    chopped dates optional

How To Make christmas rocks

  • 1
    Cream butter and sugar until light.

    Beat in eggs
  • 3
    Add sifted dry ingredients and milk until well mixed.

    Pour batter over nuts and fruits and mix thoroughly. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 20 -25 minutes at 325 degrees.

    While still warm sprinkle with rum.
