chocolate pecan meringues
I just had these at a friends house; so haven't made them yet myself. I obviously asked for her recipe!!

Ingredients
- 2 - egg whites
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate morsels
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make chocolate pecan meringues

Step 1Heat oven to 300 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 2Beat egg whites, and cream of tartar until frothy.

Step 3Add sugar gradually, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in chocolate, nuts and vanilla.

Step 4Drop by heaping teaspoonful 2 inches apart onto paper. Bake about 25 minutes. Remove with sharp spatula. Store in airtight container.
