This recipe was handed down from a friend about two years before she died of a brain aneurysm. She always made the best cookies, bringing us a variety of her batches throughout the year. I am so grateful to have her recipes to pass on for others to enjoy just as we have.

1 box of favorite cake mix
8 ounces cream cheese
2 - eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make burke's soft cakemix cookies

Step 1

Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Combine and mix all ingredients together. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 - 8 minutes.

Step 2

Add dried fruits or nuts to mixture before baking, if desired.
