Found this recipe in the back of one of my middle school notebooks written out in pencil. I can't even remember where it came from.

Ingredients
- 1 cup crisco or store brand shortenening -regular flavor
- 1 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar packed firm
- 2 - eggs room temp.
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups ap flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups regular oats, not "quick cook"
- 2 cups pecans, in pieces
- 1 cup rice crispies (any brand)
- 1 cup coconut, flaked
How To Make alabama cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees

Step 2Cream Crisco and sugars till combines.

Step 3Add Eggs and vanilla extract and beat well on medium speed.

Step 4Combine flour and salt in a separate bowl, then SLOWLY add to creamed mixture till they form a dough.

Step 5By hand add remaining ingredients and stir gently.

Step 6Dollop out by "old fashioned" tablespoons onto a lined cookie sheet for easier cleanup.

Step 7Bake each batch 10-12 minutes Cool 20 minutes.
