My thing is baking so when I need to send something somewhere that is my first choice. My son is on a team where everyone brings a dish to share on long days of competition. He took these brownies and in less than 5 minutes of being there they were devoured. I also made some for home and had trouble sharing they were so addictive.

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp
    instant expresso
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 3 c
  • 5 large
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 10 oz
    bag chocolate chips

How to Make Ultimate Brownies


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift together first 6 ingredients. Sift 5 times, then set aside.
  2. Melt butter and cool. Mix together butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla with wooden spoon.
  3. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture. Mix until combined. Add bag of chocolate chips and gently stir into mix.
  4. Coat with cooking spray an 11x7 inch pan for thick brownies or 2 9x13 pans for thin brownies. Bake in oven for 30 minutes. Brownies will be a soft set when pulled out of oven.
  5. Let cool completely. Can frost with your favorite frosting. Our favorite on these is a whipped cream cheese frosting.
