My mama made this every year at Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

How To Make mama's marshmallow cream fudge

  • Step 1
    In a medium saucepan, combine marshmallow cream, sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt.
  • Step 2
    Over medium heat, bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips.
  • Step 4
    Stir until chips melt and mixture is smooth.
  • Step 5
    Stir in nuts and vanilla.
  • Step 6
    Pour into aluminum foil lined 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Chill until firm (about 22 hours).
  • Step 7
    ***You can substitute another type of nut if you like.
