What a delicious treat! These yummy brownies are packed with chocolate and mint flavor. I love the idea of changing out the color of the mint layer for different holidays. Ingredients

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    Hershey syrup
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • FILLING:

  • 2 c
    confectioner powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    peppermint extract
  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • ·
    optional food coloring
  • FROSTING

  • 1 c
    chocolate chips
  • 6 Tbsp
    margarine

How to Make Chocolate Mint Brownies

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix the first 8 ingredients using a blender.
  2. Pour mixture into a 9x13" greased pan.
  3. Bake at 350* for 25-30 minutes. Cool.
  4. Filling: Mix and spread over cooled brownies.
  5. Frosting: Melt chocolate chips and butter, mix well.
  6. Pour over brownies and filling. Refrigerate.
