School is upon us once again, and kids always want a snack after school...all that hard work, lol. So I made these for my grandkids and they loved them.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 cups corn flakes cereal
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts

How To Make after school chocolate crunch bars

  • Step 1
    In lg saucepan, combine peanut butter, corn syrup and sugar. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat until mix just begins to boil.
  • Step 2
    Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Stir in vanilla. Stir in cereal and nuts. Mix will be stiff.
  • Step 3
    Press mix into a 9" x 13" pan. Let cool, cut into bars.
