How to Make White Buttermilk Cake
- Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk.
- Dissolve baking soda in warm water and add to batter. Mix well.
- Bake at 350 degrees in greased and floured round cake pans for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
