Ingredients
- 1 cup shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make white buttermilk cake

Step 1Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.

Step 2Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with buttermilk.

Step 3Dissolve baking soda in warm water and add to batter. Mix well.

Step 4Bake at 350 degrees in greased and floured round cake pans for 35 minutes or until cake tests done.
