A nice alternative to the traditional seven layer bars. The peanut butter lover will enjoy these yummy bars.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or oleo
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 2/3 cups coconut, flaked
  • 14 ounces can of eagle brand milk
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter, creamy

How To Make triple layer cookie bars

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees (or 325 degrees for glass dish).
  • Step 2
    In a 9x13" baking pan, melt butter/oleo.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over butter/oleo.
  • Step 4
    Top with coconut, then Eagle Brand milk.
  • Step 5
    Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Step 6
    Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in medium saucepan over low heat (or you can also melt in microwave - watch carefully).
  • Step 7
    Spread evenly over hot coconut layer. Cool 30 minutes. Chill thoroughly. Cut into bars.
  • Step 8
    Store at room temperature.
