grandma's swedish spice cake
This is a very old recipe, that came from my husband's grandmother. It's absolutely delicious! The kitchen smells wonderful, with this blend of spices, while baking this marvelous treat! A real keeper! Enjoy!

makes 1 large loaf or 3 mini loaves
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
How To Make grandma's swedish spice cake

Step 1Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat.

Step 2Add dry ingredients with sour cream.

Step 3Bake in a greased loaf pan at 350 degrees, for 55 to 60 minutes. -OR- 3 greased mini loaf pans at 350 degrees, for 40 minutes.

Step 4Slice when cool. We like it with a bit of butter. Enjoy.
