This was a recipe handed down from my grandmother, and the family has loved it ever since.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • FROSTING:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1/2 stick to one full stick butter

How To Make swedish pineapple nut cake

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl mix all ingredients together. Do not use a mixer; mix by hand.
  • Step 2
    Place in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Frosting: Mix ingredients together and spread on cake while still warm.
