Everyone loves this cake. It's quick and easy. My husband couldn't wait for it to cool off. As soon as it was out of the pan he would cut into it. I got this recipe from one of my friends mother 45 years ago and have been making it since. It's kind of like a pound cake. Hope you enjoy it also.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound butter softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

How To Make sugar cake

  • Step 1
    Beat sugar, butter till creamy.
  • Step 2
    Add flour.
  • Step 3
    Beat in eggs and extracts
  • Step 4
    Grease and flour bundt pan. Spread into pan. Bake 1 hr or until toothpick comes out clean. Bake at350 degrees.
  • Step 5
    Can use 1 tsp. vanilla or 1 tsp. almond extract. I prefer to use half of each.
