Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 c
    apples, peeled, grated
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 1 c
    light brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Simply delicious glazed apple cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350. Spray 2 loaf pans w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, whisk together oil and sugar. Beat eggs in another bowl and add to oil mix. Beat in flour, baking soda and salt.
  2. Stir in apples, 2 tsp vanilla. Stir well. Fold in pecans. Pour evenly into pans. Bake about 1 hr, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  3. In saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, striing until sugar is disolved. Stir in milk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add vanilla. Let cool. Pour over cakes.
