yellow cake mix, divided
1/2 c
butter, softened

eggs, divided
1-29 oz. can(s)
pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
sugar
2/3 c
evaporated milk
2 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
ginger
1/4 tsp
cloves

TOPPING

1 c
reserved cake mix
1/2 c
sugar
1/4 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
chopped walnuts, optional

How to Make Pumpkin Pie Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Set aside 1 cup of cake mix for topping. Combine remaining cake mix, butter and one egg in a medium bowl. Mix well and spread in a sprayed 13x9 pan.
  • 2In another bowl, mix together pumpkin, sugars, spices, remaining eggs and milk. Pour over cake batter.
  • 3Mix topping ingredients until crumbly and sprinkle over the pumpkin layer.
  • 4Bake at 350 for 50 to 60 minutes or until filling is set.
