I made this cake for a family get-together today. I received so many compliments on it. It is one of the easiest recipes I've ever made.

Ingredients

  • CAKE

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 20 oz. can(s)
    crushed pineapple with juice
  • ·
    chopped nuts (optional)
  • FROSTING

  • 8 oz
    cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 stick
    butter, not margarine
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2-4 c
    powdered sugar

How to Make Pineapple Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all cake ingredients together well and pour into a sprayed 9x13 baking dish. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes (until golden brown).
  2. Beat frosting ingredients until smooth and creamy. Spread on cake while it is still hot. Sprinkle with nuts if desired.
