2 cbrown sugar firmly packed
1 cbrewed coffee
1 cchopped nuts. i prefer walnuts
How to Make My Mothers Applesauce Spice Cake
- For loaf pan Bake at 350* 60 min
For Layer cake Bake at 325* 30-40 min
Grease and flour your pan or baking dish.
- In a sauce pan add the first 6 items and bring to a boil.
Set aside to cool.
- Add the 1/2 cup shortening and 2 cups applesauce.
Add the dry ingredients alternating with the cooled raisin mix and mixed together. Add the nuts and pour into your prepared baking pan or dish.
