This is another of my grandmother's recipes, that I think she got from someone at the beauty shop she went to. but at this point who cares...? It is ooey, gooey, wonderful. Hope you enjoy it and let me know what you think.

Ingredients
- 18 ounces of milky way bars
- 1 cup land of lakes butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 - large eggs separted
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces semi sweet chocolate
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
How To Make milky way cake

Step 1Preheat oven to 325. Grease and flour 9x13 baking dish. (you can also use a 10 inch tube pan

Step 2Melt the candy bars and butter in a heavy Dutch oven over low heat, stirring often. Remove from heat and stir in sugar.

Step 3Combine egg yokes, buttermilk and baking soda in a small bowl until well blended.

Step 4Combine flour and salt in another bowl. Add to candy mixture, alternating with buttermilk mixture, beginning and ending with the DRY ingredients. (Stir in pecans here if adding.)

Step 5In a clean bowl beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Fold into batter, and pour into prepared pan.

Step 6Bake for 75 minutes or until set and cake pulls away from the sides of the pan. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes. Unmold and cool completely.

Step 7Melt the chocolate and pour over cooled cake
