- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking soda

Step 1Cover shortening and sugar with boiling water. Add flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, eggs and vanilla. And blend well. Bake at 375 degrees, 25-30 minutes in a 13x9-inch pan. Batter is thin. Test for doneness with toothpick. Makes 4-6 servings.
