This cake is a very moist cake. My daughter-in-law loves it and I make it for her on her birthdays. It is a rich and yummy cake and it came from a local cookbook from years ago(Barbara's Top Recipes).

  • 2 c
    unsalted butter or margarine
  • 2 c
  • 4 large
  • 5 1/2 oz
    hershey syrup
  • 2 1/2 c
    cake flour
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 c
    buttermilk (i use whole buttermilk)
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 7
    plain hershey bars, melted (1.55oz ea)
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How to Make Hershey Bar Pound Cake


  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
    In mixer with paddle attachment, cream butter and sugar on medium high until light and fluffy, approx. 3 minutes.
  2. Add eggs and syrup, mix until combined.
  3. Combine flour, salt, and soda and add alternately with the buttermilk.
  4. Stir in vanilla, melted Hershey bars and pecans. Spoon batter into a well greased and floured tube pan. Bake @ 325 deg. for 60 to 75 min or until cake tests done.
