Ingredients
- 3 - eggs, beated well
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup wesson oil
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts)
- 3 cups chopped raw apples
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- ICING:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup evaporated milk
How To Make fresh apple cake

Step 1Beat oil, sugar and vanilla in a bowl at medium speed of electric mixer about 3 minutes. Sift together flour, salt and soda and add gradually to egg mixture, beating well after each addition. Stir in apples and nuts. Pour into tube pan and bake at 300- for about 45 minutes or until done. Cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan.

Step 2Icing: (Make after cake is done) Combine butter, brown sugar and milk in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils. Boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat and spread at once on cake.
