deluxe mountain dew cake
Found several versions on here but none just like this one. A lady that worked for my dad in the late 70's made this all the time. She gave me the recipe in 1979. Here's to you Ms. Maxwell!!

Ingredients
- 1 box orange cake mix
- 2/3 cup oil
- 4 - eggs
- 10 ounces mountain dew
- 1 box instant coconut cream pudding
- TOPPING
- 1 can crushed pineapple - small
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 stick butter
- 1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
How To Make deluxe mountain dew cake

Step 1Mix cake mix with oil, eggs, instant pudding and mountain dew.

Step 2Pour into 13 x 9 greased and lightly floured pan

Step 3Bake at 350 for 30 - 35 minutes.

Step 4In a sauce pan mix pineapple, sugar, cornstarch and butter. Cook 4 minutes or until clear.

Step 5Stir in coconut and pecans.

Step 6Pour over hot cake. Let cool and serve.
