This frosting is more like a glaze. It is fudgey and delicious. Pour over your favorite chocolate cake or brownies.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz
    good quality dark chocolate
  • 1/2 stick
    butter cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    red wine such as pinot noir

How to Make Dark Chocolate Red Wine Frosting.

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt the chocolate with butter in a bowl over boiling water on stove top without letting the bowl touch the water.
  2. Add wine to separate pan and boil 3 minutes.
  3. Remove chocolate mix from heat and whisk in wine, salt and powdered sugar. Let cool and pour over cake
