- 8 ounces good quality dark chocolate
- 1/2 stick butter cut into pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup red wine such as pinot noir
How To Make dark chocolate red wine frosting.

Step 1Melt the chocolate with butter in a bowl over boiling water on stove top without letting the bowl touch the water.

Step 2Add wine to separate pan and boil 3 minutes.

Step 3Remove chocolate mix from heat and whisk in wine, salt and powdered sugar. Let cool and pour over cake
