chocolate martini frosting
Once you've made this, you will want to frost everything with it!!
Blue Ribbon Recipe
This frosting is good and creamy. The alcohol is not over powering ... adds very nice flavor. We used a boxed cake mix when making the cupcakes. This was a nice treat in the Test Kitchen!

Ingredients
- 3 ounces whipping cream
- 1 ounce godiva chocolate liqueur
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 2 pounds powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa, unsweetened
- 8 ounces cream cheese
How To Make chocolate martini frosting
-
Step 1Combined heavy whipping cream, chocolate liqueur & vanilla vodka. Set aside these liquids. Sift cocoa powder and 3 cups powdered sugar in large bowl
-
Step 2Beat cream cheese until softened, Alternately add about a cup of the chocolate-powdered sugar and then an ounce of the liquids until all the cocoa mixture is blended. Now begin adding the plain powdered sugar.
-
Step 3You may choose to add only enough of the martini liquid to incorporate all 3 cups of the cocoa- powdered sugar; this will result in a less sweet icing and some of the chocolate martini will be left over. OR, Continue alternately adding the remainder of martini an ounce at a time & the powdered sugar 1 cup at a time until frosting is as thick as desired
