  • 1 c
    almond milk
  • 1 tsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1/3 c
    cocoa powder
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/3 c
    canola oil
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 11/4 tsp
    vanilla

How to Make Chocolate Cupcakes

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Whisk almond milk and vinegar in a measuring cup and set aside a few minutes to curdle.
  3. Beat together milk, oil, sugar and vanilla. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, bakinf powder and baking soda and mix until there are no lumps.
  4. Fill cupcakes two-thirds of the way and bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Transfer to cooling racks and let cool before frosting.
  5. Enjoy!
