Frosts 2 - 9 inch cake layers
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 5 cups sifted confectioners sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make carmel icing

Step 1Melt butter, add brown sugar, salt, in sauce pan. Stir (not to boiling point) 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in milk.

Step 2Return to heat and stir until mixture comes to a good boil. Remove from heat. Blend in confectioners sugar.

Step 3Add vanilla, milk can be added to thin.
