  • 2 c
    brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
  • 5 c
    sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Carmel Icing


  1. Melt butter, add brown sugar, salt, in sauce pan. Stir (not to boiling point) 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in milk.
  2. Return to heat and stir until mixture comes to a good boil. Remove from heat. Blend in confectioners sugar.
  3. Add vanilla, milk can be added to thin.
