aunt punkin's applesauce cake

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter
• 1-1/2 cup sugar
• 2 - eggs
• 2 cups sifted flour
• 1-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon allspice
• 1 teaspoon ground cloves (more or less to taste)
• 1/2 cup mixed candied fruit
• 1/2 cup chopped dates
• 1/2 cup chopped dried figs
• 1 cup craisins
• 2 cups applesauce
• 1 cup chopped nuts of your choice
