Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 12 ounces (1 lg. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Step 1In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugars, and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add egg; beat well.

Step 2Gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

Step 3Spread into a lightly greased 9x13x2" pan. Bake in a 375-degree oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
