Don't let the name scare you ! And it is not a pie! These cookies are very popular and are sold al over WI. Once you try one you will be hooked. The Cow pie, which is like a chocolate turtle but the size of a thick burger patty! It's equal to about 5 or 6 candy turtles, but can be eaten in 1 "meal" if you're a real chocolate lover

Ingredients

2 cups chocolate chips
1 tablespoon shortening
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped nuts

How To Make orignal wi. cow pie....clone

Step 1

In a double boiler, melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring till smooth. Remove from heat, stir in raisins and nuts. Drop by Tablespoons onto wax paper. Chill till set.

Step 2

Can be wrapped individually, and frozen for a later snack or gift. Made in Baraboo, WI. Don't leave WI. with out a couple.. These are to die for! Trust me !
