White Chocolate Cherry Cookies

  • 12 oz
    pkg. white chips
  • 1 c
    macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 large
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 16 oz
    tub candied cherries

How to Make White Chocolate Cherry Cookies


  1. Preheat oven to 350^. Grease cookie sheets lightly.
    Chop 1/2 the cherries into quarters. Cut the other 1/2 into halves. Set aside.
    In a medium bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla. Set aside. Combine flour, soda, and salt to the butter mixture.
  3. In another bowl, combine nuts, and chopped cherries(those cut in quarters) and the chips.Add to mixture and stir by hand to blend. Drop by heaping tablespoon onto the prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake about 9-11 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and press 1/2 cherry in center of each cookie. Cool on wire rack.
