white chocolate cherry cookies

These are so good you will want to put them on your Christmas "to make list"- my family likes these on any day of the week!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces pkg. white chips
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 16 ounces tub candied cherries

How To Make white chocolate cherry cookies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350^. Grease cookie sheets lightly. Chop 1/2 the cherries into quarters. Cut the other 1/2 into halves. Set aside. --- In a medium bowl, with electric mixer, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Step 2
    Add eggs and vanilla. Set aside. Combine flour, soda, and salt to the butter mixture.
  • Step 3
    In another bowl, combine nuts, and chopped cherries(those cut in quarters) and the chips.Add to mixture and stir by hand to blend. Drop by heaping tablespoon onto the prepared cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake about 9-11 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Remove from oven and press 1/2 cherry in center of each cookie. Cool on wire rack.
