Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup real butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 cup sour cream

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2In a large bowl, cream the butter and the 1 cup of brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Step 3Blend the vanilla and egg.

Step 4Mix in the soda and salt, mix well.

Step 5Gradually add the flour into the creamed mixture, mix well.

Step 6Shape dough into one-inch balls, place balls two inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Step 7With your thumb, press down a little dip into the center of each cookie.

Step 8In a different bowl, combine the walnuts, 1/2 c of brown sugar and the sour cream. Mix well.

Step 9Fill the dip in each cookie with about 1 teaspoon of the sour cream mixture.

Step 10Bake 10-14 minutes, or until delicately browned.
