Step 1Combine sugar and butter;beat in egg. Add soda, flour, and nutmeg. Fold in apples and pour into greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 4-6 servings.
