Traditional Chocolate Chip Cookies are an all time favorite. I usually make a double batch of these and they rarely last more than 24 hours. I highly recommend using parchment paper on all cookie sheets because it prevents burning the bottoms.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups chocolate chips

How To Make toll house cookies

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy.
  • Step 3
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  • Step 4
    Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Step 5
    Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased parchment paper covered cookie sheets.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Allow to cool slightly and then remove to racks or parchment paper to cool completely.
