Traditional Chocolate Chip Cookies are an all time favorite. I usually make a double batch of these and they rarely last more than 24 hours.
I highly recommend using parchment paper on all cookie sheets because it prevents burning the bottoms.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 3 c
    chocolate chips

How to Make Toll House Cookies

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine flour, soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased parchment paper covered cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool slightly and then remove to racks or parchment paper to cool completely.
