This is another one of my mom's amazing christmas cookie recipes. These are always a hit. Be ready for people to fall in love with you after making these.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 - egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1/2 pound sweet chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
How To Make toffee squares

Step 1Cream butter Add sugar gradually. Blend in egg yolk, vanilla, salt and flour.

Step 2Spread into greased 10 x 15 x 1 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Spread melted chocolate immediately after removing pan from oven. Sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Step 3Cool and cut into small squares.
