theresa's cut out cookies

My godmother, Theresa, made these cookies so I could use my cookie cutters. I now have cutters for every occasion (literally, EVERY occasion) and this is the recipe I use to make those yummy cookies. Frost, sprinkle, decorate to your heart's content, this is a fun recipe to make with multiple generation...one of my family's traditions!

Ingredients For theresa's cut out cookies

  • 2 stick
    margrine
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make theresa's cut out cookies

  • 1
    Cream sugar and margarine, add egg. Then add remaining. Chill 2 hours. Roll and cut out. Bake at 400 degrees until lightly browned (time depends upon size of cut outs, but typically around 8 min)
