Chocolate Chip Cookies are my weakness. And this recipe hit the nail on the head! They are the perfect combination of thick, chewy, and chocolaty. Simply delicious.

  • 1 3/4 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 3/4 c
    unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 c
    packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1
    large egg
  • 1
    large egg yolk
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies!


  1. Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda together in medium bowl; set aside.
  2. Mix together both sugars and vanilla to bowl with melted butter. Using wooden spoon, stir in flour mixture until just combined. Make a well in the center and beat in your egg and egg yolk until fully incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Arrange 2 tablespoon portions 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
  4. Bake cookies at 375 until golden brown and still puffy, and edges have begun to set but centers are still soft, about 10 -12 minutes.
