super simple amish sugar cookies

This is based off a contest-winning recipe that I got from Taste of Home magazine. Simple and delicious! *Note the bake time is per batch.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup canola oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In the bowl of a mixer, add the butter, oil, and two sugars, and beat until creamed.

Step 2Add in the eggs and blend well. Add the vanilla extract and blend well.

Step 3In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar, and mix well. Add this gradually to the creamed mixture and blend until all combined.

Step 4Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (they will be on the smaller side) onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned - approximately 8-10 min. depending on your oven. Cool finished cookies on wire racks. Enjoy!
