  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

How To Make super simple amish sugar cookies

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In the bowl of a mixer, add the butter, oil, and two sugars, and beat until creamed.
  • Step 2
Add in the eggs and blend well. Add the vanilla extract and blend well.
  • Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar, and mix well. Add this gradually to the creamed mixture and blend until all combined.
  • Step 4
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls (they will be on the smaller side) onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until lightly browned - approximately 8-10 min. depending on your oven. Cool finished cookies on wire racks. Enjoy!
