Sugar Cookies with Lemon Balm Tincture
1 stickunsalted butter, softened
1 tsplemon balm tincture
1 1/2 cflour
1/2 tspbaking soda
1lemon, zest and juice
1 cpowdered sugar
How to Make Sugar Cookies with Lemon Balm Tincture
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using the paddle in a stand mixer, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Add lemon balm tincture and zest of one lemon (1-2 tablespoons). Mix until combined.
- Sift flour, salt, and baking soda. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients 1/2 a cup at a time, mixing until incorporated before adding more dry ingredients.
- Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough (I use a tablespoon cookie scoop) onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes or until the edges just begin to brown slightly.
- Remove cookies from oven, cool on cookie sheet 3-5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
