soft plum spice cookie/biscuit
The first time I ever made a Prune cake, My family thought I had lost my mind. It is know a most requested cake. This is my rendition of the cake in biscuit form. This is not a sweet one, and is great with coffee or tea. Tell me what you think.

Ingredients
- SET OVEN TO 350 F
- 1 stick butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup prunes, pitted and finley choped
- 1 cup walnuts chopped
- ADD ALL THE FOLOWING INGREDIENTS IN MEDIUM BOWL
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon clove, ground
- GLAZE: 1 C. POWDERED SUGAR, 1 TEASPOON MILK, 1 TEASPOON MELTED BUTTER, 1 DASH OF VANILLA MIX IN BOWL UNTIL SMOOTH. TOP EACH COOKIE (OPTIONAL)
How To Make soft plum spice cookie/biscuit

Step 1Gather all pre-measured ingredients.

Step 2Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, allspice, clove and cinnamon in medium bowl

Step 3Beat sugar and butter in large bowl until well blended. Beat in Vanilla and egg until smooth.

Step 4Add Prunes and Nuts

Step 5Beat in flour mixture (gradually) DoNot Over Mix, just until blended. Mixture will pull from side of bowl. STOP MIXING

Step 6Use small icecream scoop or rounded spoonfuls on to sprayed cookie sheet. lightly flatten cookie before baking.

Step 7cook for 7 min. edges should look golden. * the longer the cookies seat after cooling, the softer they become. Go figure ! ENJOY!
