snickerdoodles
I just love snickerdoodles. Even want to eat them warm, fresh from the oven (okay, it is very difficult to not let them cool off!). Here is a recipe that sounded easy enough to make...since I have yet to find one I want to use all the time.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles
-
Step 1Oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter with mixer until creamy. Gradually add 2 c sugar and beat well. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, beat well.
-
Step 2Combine flour, powder and 2 t cinnamon, then gradually add to butter mixture on low speed JUST until blended. You can store this in an airtight container up to 1 week in the fridge if you desire.
-
Step 3Combine 3 T sugar and 1 1/2 T cinnamon in small bowl. Roll dough into 1 1/4 inch balls and roll in sugar mixture. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten slightly (The bottom of a glass works well for this).
-
Step 4Bake 11-13 min or until lightly browned. Cool on cookie sheets 5 min, then remove to cool completely.
