  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 tsp

How to Make Snickerdoodles


  1. Combine 1 cup sugar and butter and beat until well blended.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Blend until combined.
  4. Cover and chill 10 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  6. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar. Place on cookie sheet.
  9. Flatten balls with bottom of a glass. If glass becomes too sticky dip in cinnamon sugar first.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
  11. Enjoy!!
