Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 - egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
How To Make snickerdoodles

Step 1Combine 1 cup sugar and butter and beat until well blended.

Step 2Add the egg and vanilla; mix well.

Step 3Add flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Blend until combined.

Step 4Cover and chill 10 minutes.

Step 5Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Step 6Combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

Step 7Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Step 8Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar. Place on cookie sheet.

Step 9Flatten balls with bottom of a glass. If glass becomes too sticky dip in cinnamon sugar first.

Step 10Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
