"skidaddle cookies" canada recipe,w/fruit cocktail
I was visiting my Canadian relatives and was served these delicious cookies. Naturally I asked for the recipe ! And learned the history behind them. They are called "SKIDADDLE" for Skidaddle Ridge, Canada, because it was a hideout for draft dodgers during the American Civil War. You can learn more by goggling the name. For what ever reason they are a good cookie, with walnuts and fruit cocktail. A great tasty combination, you might want to try. Nancy. 9/24/14
