Sister Mary Beth worked at the hospital where Grandma W donated a mural in memory of Mom. Having been there so often while that happened, we saw her quite often. She always shared these amazing cookies with me, along with a hug and smile. I remember her fondly, especially with this recipe!

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups flour

Step 1Mix all together and chill for 30 min. Toss dough into small balls. Use a glass cup to flatten balls (wet cup and dip into sugar). Bake at 375 degrees 10-12 min.
