Ingredients
- 1 pound butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 5 cups all purpose flour
How To Make scotch shortbread cookies

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar. Work in flour.

Step 3If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tbsp. soft butter.

Step 4In a greased cookie sheet, pat out all of the dough mixture. Prick with a fork.

Step 5Bake 20 to 30 minutes (until edges are browning).

Step 6Cool. cut into 1 inch squares to serve.
