Ingredients

  • 1/3 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    shortening
  • 1
    egg
  • 2/3 c
    honey
  • 1 tsp
    lemon extract
  • 2 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt

How to Make Santa's Kitchen

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix sugar, shortening, egg. honey and lemon extract.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  4. Roll dough 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Use cookie cutters to cut into desired shapes.
  6. Place 1-inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake approximately 7 to 8 minutes or until no indentation remains when cookies are touched.
  8. Cool cookies and decorate if desired.
